Born in Pali, Rajasthan, Yash always had an entrepreneurial spirit. After moving to Bombay for his bachelor's and pursuing CA, he realized a desk job wasn’t for him. He joined a law firm in Delhi before an opportunity took him to Europe, where he taught Indian culture and cuisine. He traveled to 16 countries, gaining exposure to diverse food and cultures, and realized the global need for organic food. Returning to India in 2018, he co-founded Farmse with his best friend, Raj.
Vaishali, meanwhile, pursued fashion, working with Tarun Tahiliani in Bombay before joining a multi-designer store in Ahmedabad. When COVID-19 hit, she returned home with no work due to the pandemic. As demand for organic food soared, she started helping Yash, eventually becoming deeply involved. She began learning mukhwas recipes from her mother and grandmother.
In 2023, these high school love birds, after 12 years of dating, decided to tie the knot. Vaishali had only cutely demanded to gift their family’s specialty mukhwas to guests in return gifts, and they were loved by all. Recognizing the demand, they decided to launch a brand focusing on premium mukhwas.
A stroke of luck came when a 100X VC spotted them at an exhibition and invited them to discuss funding rounds. Their investment fast-tracked Joyspoon’s soft launch in October 2023.They market launched Joyspoon in July 2024, a lot was yet to be finalised, from packaging to marketing strategy, they took a chance and applied for Shark Tank India in the same month!
From a small idea to Shark Tank, Joyspoon’s journey is one of passion and perseverance—bringing back traditional mouth freshener and munchies, one mukhwas at a time!
